Recipe: Adding On-Premises Microsoft Organizations
Expected deliverables:
A Microsoft 365 organization added to the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 infrastructure.
Time to complete: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- Access to Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 GUI using a browser
- Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint organization account
Before you start:
Assumptions: You have an existing Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 installation.
Method:
- Open the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 interface.
- On the “Organizations” view, right click “Organizations” in the inventory pane and select “Add organization”.
- Select “On-Premises” as organization deployment type, and the services to protect between “Microsoft Exchange Server” and “Microsoft SharePoint Server”. Click “Next” to proceed.
- Specify the Microsoft Exchange server name, and authentication credentials. Select the “Grant this account required roles and permissions” check box and click “Next”.
- Specify the Microsoft SharePoint server name, port, and authentication credentials. Select the “Grant this account required roles and permissions” check box and click “Next”.
- Wait for the connection to be established, then click “Finish”.
