Recipe: Installing SSL Certificates
Expected deliverables:
A SSL certificate installed, needed to manage Microsoft 365 organizations, configure general application settings and backup infrastructure.
Time to complete: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- Access to Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 GUI using a browser
Before you start:
Assumptions: You have an existing Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 installation.
Method:
- Open the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 interface.
- In the main menu, click “General Options”.
- Open either the REST API, or Restore Portal, or Security, or Authentication tab, and click “Install” to run the “Select Certificate” wizard.
- If you want to create a new certificate, select “Generate new self-signed certificate”, click “Next” then specify a certificate name and click “Finish”.
- If you want to use an existing certificate in the server, select “Select certificate from the Certificate Store of this server”, click “Next” then select a certificate that you want to use and click “Finish”.
- If you want to import a certificate from file, select “Import certificate from PFX file”, click “Next”, then “Browse” and select a PFX file to use, specify the certificate password and click “Finish”.
