Recipe: Creating Google Cloud SQL Snapshots Manually

Expected deliverables:

A manually created Google Cloud SQL Snapshot, managed outside the backup policy.

Time to complete: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

• A Google Cloud SQL Database

Before you start:

A manually created snapshot is kept in your Google Cloud environment unless you remove it manually.

Assumptions:

You have an existing Veeam Backup for Google Cloud deployment.

Method:

1. Login the Veeam Backup for Google Cloud web interface.
2. Navigate to Resources > Cloud SQL
3. Select the necessary Cloud SQL instance and click Take Snapshot Now.
