Recipe: Accessing Veeam Backup for Google Cloud appliance the first time
Expected deliverables:
Initial configuration of Veeam Backup for Google Cloud appliance completed.
Time to complete: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- The appliance public IP address provided by Google Cloud.
- Access to Veeam Backup for Google Cloud using a browser.
Before you start:
Make sure the Veeam Backup for Google Cloud appliance is up and running and accessible from your network.
Assumptions:
You have an existing Veeam Backup for Google Cloud deployment.
Method:
- In a web browser, navigate to Veeam Backup for Google Cloud using the IP or FQDN of the Google Cloud VM where Veeam Backup for Google Cloud is installed (HTTPS)
- Read and accept the Veeam license agreement, Veeam licensing policy, 3rd party components and software license agreements.
- In the “Instance ID” field, specify the unique numeric identifier of the VM instance running Veeam Backup for Google Cloud.
- Create the Default Administrator account (username/password) whose credentials you will use for your first login to Veeam Backup for Google Cloud. Click “Create”
- Log in to Veeam Backup for Google Cloud with the credentials of the Default Administrator account created in the previous step.
